I even got through a full playthrough and a half before experiencing anything beyond the "Increasingly long load times" but that's understandable. All in all, I haven't experienced nearly the bugs or glitches that many others have complained about, but there's still a few. I really hadn't noticed many bugs, I ran into the one where killing things in VATS makes them fall through the ground and into the netherspace of doom and turmoil, the one where the "Old Cowboy Hat" one, and every once in a while my character phases through boulders and gets stuck.
#RADIO NEW VEGAS OST PATCH#
I'm gonna start a Facebook petition to get them to patch the song out of the game entirely, so we'll see how that goes. It does seem pretty universal though that Johnny Guitar is the single worst song ever written. Yeah, that's why I was inclined to believe it's a bug. I can't believe they're already gearing up for a DLC release, while these issues are floating around.
I've found so many bugs in this game, that i avoid certain areas which i know will cause me problems, but the radio is with you all the time, so off it goes! But it's still very annoying, It's like some kind of torture, 'Give us your star bottle caps or it's back on with the song!' That means it's definitely not a genuinely corrupt file, as everyone would get the same song. It seems very weird that different people are getting it with different songs, and some people aren't getting it all. I just wish Orange Colored Sky would play period and Johnny Guitar would play a lot less. I just love the music in the game, and thankfully I seem to get about 90% of the soundtrack functioning properly. You're not missing out on too much by having the radio off the entire time, especially if it only plays one song over and over. My personal problem is that Wayne Newton is the opposite of fun to listen to, whereas Three-Dog was perfect in almost every conceivable way. Everyone I've talked to seems to have a problem with the radio in the game. My friend experienced over-playing of "Jingle Jangle Jingle" by Kay Kyser, which is a really good song, but it ends up getting on your nerves when it plays twice as often. I got a pretty good variety, some people seem to have different problems. That's a good song, but I can see it getting annoying after too much playing. No, that song is "Big Iron" by Marty Robbins. The radio shows were great on Fallout 3, so hopefully this can be patched. So i have the radio off, which i'm sure means i'm missing out on some of the fun in this game. Is that the song about a big iron on his hip? That's the only song that plays for me, just that one song, over and over and over. If Bethesda could patch Johnny Guitar out of the game's soundtrack period, that would be even better, but I can understand if that's not really an option.Īnyway, that's all I really have to say. If anyone could verify why this is happening, that would be awesome. So I come to you now, begging two things.
Instead, I've hunted down this forum and browsed through it, unable to find even a whisper of this issue. Unfortunately, the sources I find aren't official and not reputable enough for me to feel safe believing. I read somewhere that the reason for this is that the game has a bug that fails to reference some songs (It's usually either called a bug or calling the song file corrupted). Upon recent inspection, I've noticed that many songs are included in the sound track and are meant to be played (most notably Orange Colored Sky) but never do play.Īt first, I chalked this up to the random song selector hating me and refusing to play songs I like and instead opting to punish me with Johnny Guitar, but upon further inspection, it seems nobody has been able to hear some of these songs (all of which seem to hate Johnny Guitar). When I got the game, I played through it and (quite excruciatingly) survived about 150 plays of Johnny Guitar, sometimes it would play two times in a row (Usually on Radio New Vegas, sometimes on Black Mountain Radio).
